Every declaration. Eight threats. Under two seconds.
AI-powered risk management for cargo and trade declarations. 1.5 million rules evaluate every shipment across revenue, security, narcotics, IP, CITES, sanctions, biosecurity, and dual-use threats — with a Bayesian feedback loop that learns from every inspection outcome.
The analyst worklist is the operational heart of BorderShield. Every inbound declaration is scored across all eight threat categories and presented with a visual risk heatmap — one row, one glance, one decision.
Every declaration is evaluated against all eight categories independently. Each category has its own weighted rules, maintained by domain specialists — not generic data scientists.
Undervaluation, misclassification, duty evasion, transfer pricing abuse, and origin misrepresentation. Protects the exchequer at the point of declaration.
Prohibited goods, weapons, ammunition, explosives precursors, and concealment indicators. Pre-arrival screening aligned to WCO SAFE Framework.
Drug-source corridors, concealment typologies, known precursor chemicals, and high-risk commodity/origin combinations from seizure intelligence.
Counterfeit goods detection — brand-at-risk HS codes, known infringing origins, underpriced luxury goods, and registered trademark watchlists.
Endangered species products, CITES-listed specimens, illegal wildlife trade indicators, and permit validation against CITES appendix lookups.
Entity screening against UN, EU, OFAC, and national sanctions lists. Covers consignees, shippers, brokers, and beneficial owners across all parties on the declaration.
Quarantine-risk goods, invasive species indicators, food safety, phytosanitary risk, and SPS compliance for agricultural and animal products.
Export-controlled technologies under Wassenaar Arrangement, EU 2021/821, and national dual-use lists. HS-prefix matching with end-use and end-user assessment.
No black boxes. When BorderShield flags a declaration, the analyst sees exactly which rules fired, which threat category each belongs to, and the score contribution of every trigger.
BorderShield doesn't just score — it learns. Every examination outcome feeds back into the model, adjusting rule weights and importer risk profiles. The system gets sharper with every container opened.
Bayesian updating in practice: If a rule consistently fires on declarations that are cleared on examination, its weight decreases automatically. If a rule catches seizures, its weight increases. Over time, the system converges on the rule set that maximises yield per examination — without any manual tuning.
ACI, manifest, invoice, and bill of lading ingested. All 8 categories scored in parallel.
Composite score maps to Red (physical exam), Yellow (document check), or Green (auto-release).
Inspector records outcome: seizure, discrepancy, or compliant. Findings tagged to the rules that triggered the examination.
Bayesian posterior recalculated. Rule weights and importer risk profiles adjusted. Next score reflects what we learned.
The composite risk score maps directly to an examination channel. Thresholds are fully configurable per customs administration — the system enforces the policy, not the other way around.
Physical examination. Goods held until inspected. Assigned to declarations with sanctions hits, high-confidence undervaluation, or dual-use indicators requiring end-user verification.
Document check. Goods may be released after paperwork review. Covers moderate-risk declarations requiring origin certificate verification, invoice cross-check, or licence confirmation.
Auto-release. Low-risk declarations cleared without intervention. Legitimate trade flows unimpeded — facilitation and enforcement working in balance.
Operational teams author, edit, and publish rules directly in the BorderShield UI. Define HS-prefix triggers, country-of-origin filters, threat category assignments, and legal-basis references — then deploy in one click.
BorderShield ships with full Arabic right-to-left localisation out of the box — not a CSS flip, but a ground-up RTL implementation. Additional languages can be added without code changes.
Not just mirrored text — every table, form, chart, and navigation element is natively RTL
Both themes ship standard — operations centres choose based on environment and display setup
All UI strings externalised — add any language via translation file, no code redeployment
Dates, currencies, and numbers localised per region — AED, USD, EUR shown in local format
Live screenshots from an operational deployment — risk scoring across 341 declarations, AI valuation, rule transparency, and revenue loss quantification.
